How to promote your offline marketing business? PDF Print E-mail

This is a question that is asked regularly and I want to share what works for me and it may work for you too.

I follow a multi-prong approach - flood the net with sites that promote my various services. I use different web sites for different services as well as some combi sites

This week I created a new holding page for dormant sites, lapsed client sites or new domains that promote a number of my web sites. Example - http://icsonline.co.za

Through these and other sites I cross-promote my services and leads are generated from the various web sites depending on the visitor's interest or needs.

With my directories I depend on generic growth. I never list a business myself (unless it's a paying customer). I'd rather have 10 businesses listed that have visited the site, took the time to list, will respond to customer emails and will "know" me when I email them than 1000's who don't know me, who will ignore my emails or report me for spam.

Apart from the leads from my services web sites the directories generate leads through:

  • Businesses without web sites
  • Businesses that register but do not add listings for some reason
  • Enquiries for additional marketing or advertising services

By becoming more targeted with your marketing, i.e. web sites for each service rather than only listing them on your site or even adding pages to your current site, each of your services can attract its own niche enquiries and leads.
